In Honor of John McCain

The Sky Ranch Lodge sends love, light and condolences to the family of Senator John McCain and everyone his beautiful legacy has touched.

An ironic connection between the Maverick Senator and our historic resort is our location on Airport Mesa. McCain chose the Mesa to announce his presidential run in 2008. The TV and Newspaper coverage was worldwide with our iconic view of Sedona behind him. That’s the same view our guests enjoy daily while staying with us!

Most recently NBC News sent top journalist Kelly O’Donnell to cover the passing of the Senator broadcasting live from Sky Ranch Lodge. The shot where she stood was at the outlook behind Room 246.

As many of you know McCain chose to make his transition at his beautiful ranch right outside of Sedona… in which he had been quoted to say was his “favorite place on Earth”.

It is with great respect that he will forever be remembered.
